289: "Popping" from exhaust?

I have had to put this on the back burner for a few weeks, but had a chance to look at it again today.

Took the car out for about a 25 minute drive, then did a WARM ENGINE compression check. #1=115, #2=115, #3=110, #4=115, #5=115, #6=115, #7=120, #8=120.

Car still runs fine with acceptable "git-up", but at idle there is still the random "popping" out of the tailpipe.

I have not checked the vacuum (no gage available yet). Any other thoughts????

You sure you got the plug wires all correct?
