I am trying to mount a new remote driver side side view mirror. It comes with 2 screws but there does not seem to be anything inside the door to screw the screws in to. Am I missing something inside the door? I cannot get to the screws inside to put a nut and washer on. Every other car I have had to change outside mirrors has had something inside to screw into. What's up. Any help is appreciated.

 

There are inserts that are threaded that you push into a drilled hole and then the screw goes into that. You should be able to find them at CJ's.
