Question Prep for a road trip 1000km (620 miles)

Folks,

Other than money for fuel (driving through France where it is circa $7.50 a gallon) what else would you pack for a long trip? I plan to my 65 coupe with the following ATF, oil coolant, strong beer, tool kit, axle stands, back up ignitor module (had that crap out on me before), spare belts. What else would you take? I made the trip last year in my 1970 Citroen DSuper and had zero problems and she turned a lot heads of the supercar crowd at classic Le Mans 24hr. I figure being prepared is best especially when spare are not readily available at every parts place.
Cheers

Paddy

A clip lead long enough to reach from the battery to the coil and screwdriver will start it so you can drive it (like if you lost the keys) in a pinch.

Well I made there and back, but lost tail lights and indicators. I checked and there was only a charge to the battery under load and this was 17V, also car is running of battery as dies when you disconnected the -ve. I adjusted the belt tension as that was lose and trickle charged the battery it look like the tail lights are back but no indicators.

Based on this I think the voltage regulator is bad and the overvoltage has fried the LED control module what do you think?

Well replace LED module and voltage regulator and it works although voltage seems low at idle 12.7-13.6V. Think I will clean the connections. When revved it stays below 14.4V now
