Default 1964 1/2 Fuel line to carburetor leak. Need help

I have a 1964 1/2 mustang that has been sitting for 3 years. I’ve got everything working but I have this leak where the fuel line goes into the carburetor. I have tried multiple times and multiple ways to set the line but cannot get this to seal. Everything appears to be straight. The inside looks clean and the flare on the line looks good. I just can’t get it to seal. Not sure if I cross threaded somehow but everything appears to be tight. I’m able to tighten the nut to about 2-3 threads showing. Any ideas of what is causing this and what I can do to resolve this and stop the leak?

It appears to be cross threaded as the line doesn't look perpendicular to the carb. Is that the same line that came off the carb? If so, it is either cross threaded or perhaps the line wasn't tight against the nut when you threaded it in and it somehow the flare isn't seated properly.

It is the same line. I have tried multiple ways to line it up and get it seated and it’s not working. The nut does look like it’s not going in perfectly straight which probably means it is crosse threaded. If that’s the case is there anything I could do or do I need to start shopping for a new carb?

I hope someone has a better idea. I don't think you can chase the threads in the carb because usually you have to go up a size which would require a new fitting which would require a new flare etc. The line nut should have easily screwed into the carb with your fingers if properly aligned. If you started wrenching on it right off the bat it probably is cross threaded and a new carb would be in the mix.
