Default Battery Cable Routing

I've almost finished putting the battery and retored battery tray back into the engine compartment, but need help with the routing of two cables, one is the battery ground cable. Where does it attach to the engine?
Second, how does the cable get routed from the starter solenoid to the starter?

Many thanks guys. Our convertible has been chosen to lead our Bryson City Christmas Parade on December 3rd.

The positive cable, goes from the terminal closet to the battery to the battery. YOur positive post, should be closest to the fender. I think you need no more then 8 inches or less. The negative, i got to think about. It bolts down, cant remember where.

ok the positive cable routes from the battery to the voltage regulator directly next to the battery bolted to the pass apron right next to the shock tower. There are two large bolts on each side along with two little ones in the front of it, your cable needs to go to the large one closest to the front of the car. The nagative indeed bolts down to something, the engine! Your best bet is to crawl under the car and there is a bolt directly next to the alternator and where the dip stick for the oil goes into the oil pan. There need to be a washer attached to it as well. Hope this helps

The old Ground wire from the battery WAS grounded to the engine at the same bolt described above, the bolt that holds the dipstick tube to the block. I wasn't sure this was the correct location as the ground cable seems a bit long for this location.

I have already installed the positive cable from the battery to the starter solenoid!! The cable I need help routing is the POSITIVE cable that runs from the BACK of the starter solenoid to the starter UNDER then engine. It came with two brackets that mount SOMEWHERE to hold the cable in place as it runs to the starter, but I don't know where to mount the brackets, noe do I know how to properly route the cable.

Many thanks guys for trying,

Tom

the one braket it comes with ill assume is a metal braket with a rubber insulator, if thats what your describing than that bolts to the passenger upper half motor mount, the one nearest the front of the car. I do not know of another bracket unfortunatly that goes anywhere else, i will check my car, but i dont think theres another one
