I bought some rimms from a guy on ebay who claimed that they fitted on a 67 mustang.
Today I tried to fit them onto my 66 coupe... and they fit but the bolts they slide onto are too short.

Is there a difference in length of the bolts between a 66 & 67 ?

Is it possible to put '67 bolts on a '66 mustang?

im not shure if there is a diferance in the 66/67. but i know the bolt pattern on the fox bodies are closer together than on the 60's

Well the bolt pattern fits perfectly ... the rimms fit real good, the only problem is that the bolts arent long enough so i cant lock the rimm to the wheel

Easy fix....knock out the current lug bolts, and replace them with longer ones.

Just what I was thinking Soaring. It's very easy to do if you have the time. It also allows you to do some inspecting of your pads and seals.

what kind of wheels? if they are mags or something like that you need special nuts that gointo the wheels.

yes unfortunatly in 67 the wheel studs got longer due to Ford using larger profile wheels on the new model. I havent heard that you need special lug nuts for mags, (or at least i dont) but if i were yuo, take the old studs out, and take the hubs to napa, or car quest, and show them the bolts u have just tell them how much longer they need to be, and theyll press the new ones in.
