Default '67 instruments

The '67 I bought has a sw gauge set so the original instruments have been disconnected. I found a Cougar console clock which fits in the one of the large instrument holes in the bezel. My question is; on a instrument panel with a tach where is the fuel gauge...is it a seperate gauge that I could mount in the empty clock hole (or one that size)? Originality is not a problem and the large clock would look cool.....just a fuel gauge is more important.

Sorry, for the stupid question. After rechecking I realize that the clock would only replace gauges that I have duplicated. Has anyone ever made this swap? If so any suggestions or tips?
