Problem w/ 66 Mustang
I'm not sure how to explain this, but here goes:
My problem is that I drove 65 mph for about 60 miles when I reached a big town and I stopped at a light, when my car started to sound like it was cutting out, then my car started to shake (no earthquakes), I accelerated and saw smoke out of my exhaust. I headed out of town, everything seemed fine, then it started cutting out, I dropped down to 55 and turned around. Came back to town, everything seemed fine. Got about 10 miles out and it started cutting out again. One time, it started cutting out on the highway, I got off heading home, sounded like the engine was louder, I pull into the driveway, but when I shut it off my car shakes and sputters.
I hope someone understands what I'm trying to say. I have no idea why my car shakes.

Sounds like a timing problem if it shakes and sputters after the ignition has been turned off.
Pre ignition knock due to a slipped timing chain or something like that.
I would check timing first and if its okay then maybe it could be sucked valve or some problem with the valve train
If the engine is running extra hot that could cause an issue as well check to be sure it is within normal limits
