Default Granada Swap Donor Question

The Hollander Parts Manual list the Granada spindle family as 1457, and has an also fits number of 1543 for an F-100 80-82. Does anyone know if these fit or have had any experience with them? Thanks! A local junk yard says he's got the 1543s

Err, "1543" is the number of a F100 "brake rotor" not a spindle. The complete Hollander number is actually 530-01543. Many people in the parts business just refer to the last four numbers though. The "530" stands for "brake rotor", the 1543 part specifies that this particular rotor fits a small bolt pattern F100.
The part number you want is "515" and the spindles you want are Hollander #'s"515-00745R" and "515-00745L" for the right and left respectively. These fit from: 75 Comets and Mavericks with disk brakes, 76-77 Comets and mavericks (drum brakes were nolonger optional after 1975), and 75-80 Granadas and Monarchs. Not a direct Hollander interchange are the spindles from 77-80 Lincoln Versailles, Hollander #515-00777(R+L). These are identical to Granadas except they use a larger lower balljoint. You can buy adapters from "Mustang Steve" to be able to use these with your current balljoints. Most people prefer to go with the direct fit Granada versions if at all possible though. At any rate Comets, Granadas, etc are a lot more common than Versailles. Beware of 81-2 Granadas, even though the cars bear the same name, the spindles (and entire cars) are utterly different and useless for vintage Mustang updating.

Just do what I did, get yourself a disk brake bracket from this guy --> Disk Brake Bracket and he also sends you a parts list of what you need to do a full conversion along with details. I just did mine and it came out great......

By the way, the total cost was about $550 for everything including the power brake unit!!
