Default My 1967 Mustang

Just bought myself a 1967 Coupe with a 289. White with Red interior. Story behind my car.

Bought it from guy who needed to make room for his Fastback he was going to fix up. Engine runs, nice and tight. Its previous owner, before the guy i bought it from, drove drunk and ran into a wall. Thus the Driver side fender is wrecked, and the fender apron is bent outta shape. Small wear ont he top of the drivers seat, an additional radio (fm radio) installed below the orignal. Passenger side door, don't know what happened there, but it is definatly been hit by something. I got a spare from the guy, so all I have to do is swap everything from the current door to the new one. Only thing is, this one is maroon. Now the passenger fender, they tried to straighten it out but couldn't did more damage than good. So now I have to replace that one. Its leaking water somewhere... Squeals when its ran, which I assume the belts need to be changed. Hood as a small dent, that I think can be bent out. Battery is dead. Door locks stick, you have to play with the lock to get it to come all the way up to unlock. Glove box pops open when you shut a door. I didn't get a good look inside the trunk, but i believe the gas tank has surface rust. That needs to be cleaned, possibly replaced. Body is straight, no rust that we could find. I got everything that came with the car, from the orignal manual to the destroyed fenders and spare parts.

Parts that I need are two front fenders, (Im going to get Ford Tooled ones, not OEM) E-brake handle, wiring harness for headlights (my dog thought the ends would make a great althought expensive chew toy while its parked on the side of the house), replace all tubing and belts, possibly new battery, headlight assembly, and a new set of tires/rims.

I bought another set of keys, I only got one pair, ebrake handle and the fender apron. Next thing Im going to buy is a driver side fender, right now looking for the cheapest place to get that from, so far its $399 with $100-$150 for shipping, which I'd greatly like to avoid.

After I get that fender Ill get the locks fixed, swap out the door, clean up the gas tank, replace the belts and tubing.

Any advise, comments, questions, tips on how to do what I want to do will be much apperciated.

i think you may have to just lubricate the locks and tighten up the linkage, as for the glovebox there is some adjustment on the bottom of the dash. use a 5/16 socket and you can pull it out a bit more so it will stay closed. i had the same problems with my 68

I live in Oregon, how much for the fenders? If I pay for shipping will you do that?
