Default Front Suspension Help

Hi all--Im net to the forum--Ive had my 68 Mustang coupe for going on 8 years now, and I need some help with a new suspension kit. I dont have the money to do a full bolt in kit, such as Fatman Fabrications---or another from TCP--however, I am planning on doing somewhat of a custom install on the front suspension and could really use everyone's expert advise on this!!!---

I plan on using a spindle from an sn95 mustang and using a somewhat modified coil-over setup--which will have a variable sized spring that will rest on a coil-over type perch, but widens up to the standard mustang shock tower upper spring perch--Id also use a custom top mount for the shocks(as they mount right onto the spindle)--

My real question is if the stock style lower control arms, have the same measurements and/or geometry as the fatman fabrications kit---i guess if anyone out there would know or has anyplace I can find this info---id really apreciate any help!! Thanks A Lot!!!!

I can't answer your question, but maybe someone on here can. The reason I am replying is to welcome you to the classic section of the Mustang Forums.

Best advice is to call Fatman and ask them if there is a difference. What you are doing doesnt sound cheap, a Shelby drop and polyuerthane would be the cheapest route I could think of that still nets improved syspension geometry.

I was reading somwhere a few months back about a similar setup, but for the life of me I cant remember if it sas a magazine (which title would be another hurdle) or if it was on the internet...

Here is a tech article on the Shelby drop. It is also in conjunction with the Granada swap, so just scroll down to read about the Shelby drop.
