Too much rust? what do you think?
It looks FAR BETTER than my 71, and if I had the money (currently tryin to pick up a 72 GTO) I would drive down and buy it. Floors arent tough, and the underhood where the fenders bolt on looks good. If it has massive rust, it WILL rust out there too. Looks like a somewhat simple fix, but the pics dont show alot.
Having seen plenty of salt driven cars, the brake line and subframe shot look nearly perfect compared to some of these heaps up here. I would guess limited salt road driving... but of course, I could be wrong. Still its not bad as long as it runs.
And you can set the 6 pack under the car when you get pulled over, then pick it up when he goes back to the cruiser... lol.

that guy is taking more pictures of the undercarriage and sending them to me, hopefully tomarrow or thursday. And according to the current owner, it hasnt been started in a long time, so fluids need to be changed, and any gunk cleaned before i would even consider starting it.
my mustang i have now came from up north, and there is alot of rust, and no where near as much as this car(well what i can tell from the pics at least).

Hell ya it is a good canidate for restoration. It looks about like mine did when I found it, but it is a 66 coupe.Mine also had a hole in the floor pans but now it has one really big hole beacuse I just cut them out and put new ones in. Is that a 289 or a 302?
