Default 351 in 1966?

Hey guys,
I have a 66 that was stock except it was bored .60 over and a little longer stoke.... Ok so here is the thing i had a piston head that just shattered to pieces and caused the block damage way beyond repair...so ive been wanting to put in a new engine so heres my chance but i ran across a prob, i want to put a 5 speed from a 93 5.0 my friend has and a 351...so my question is will the 351 at around 370 hp and about the same torque snap the stock 289 rearend? and if so would i be better off just making a strong 302?

Thanx
Tony

The 289 rear end is an 8 incher. No, you won't snap it with a a stock 351 or a 302.
