Default Air Conditioner

I've got a '66 Mustang and I have no idea how to use the air conditioner in it.

Lame novice question, I'm sure, but I do need help. [:'(]

Sorry, I meant that I have a '66 Mustang. I don't know why I put '96..., but I have a '66.

Does it even have A/C? it has an underdash unit if it does. The car must be running, and you turn the fan switch to on, and the temp switch to cool.

Or use the 2-60 AC. Always works.

Although I have the underdash unit that came with the car, and I have upgraded it, I still prefer 2-60 most of the time. However, in Texas, we get get some pretty hot summer weather, and while going down the interstate for several miles, I will turn that sucker on to dry the sweat off my brow.

I bet you get that shirt sticking to the seat syndrome. We get that here in NC and our summers are not near as hot as yours.

Oh Yeah. My shirt sticks to the back of the seat almost every time I plant my posterior in that bucket seat during the summer. Hey, these old cars were not designed for comfort. I don't expect comfort whenever I drive Old Yeller.
I drove her to the liquor store today, which is about 4 miles away, and I had a grandma going 50 or so in a 70 zone. Well, the yellow stripes were everywhere because of the mountainous region, but I found a 1/4 stretch where I could pass her. Old Yeller responded beautifully. I patted her on the dash and said, " Good Girl."

Im glad Im not the only one that talks to my cars. I personally like the feel of the buckets. My bronco has basically the same seats and I find them quite comfortable.
