shaking and smoking...
yeah I was trying to hold off on rebuilding it untill I had enough money to do more than just a lower end rebuild, but I guess thats what im going to have to do, and ill get my wheels checked in the next week or so and let you guys know.
What’s the oil pressure? Does it drop off when you start to accelerate hard or get above 60?
Based on the compression I would say rings, 100 psi is low and you have a high low separation of 30psi (should be 10 or less)
My 302 is getting about 150 psi, do you know how many miles are on your engine?
If you dont have enough money for a rebuild right yet you can always drive the car easy so long as you have enough oil pressure and enough clean oil in the engine

well I dont think the gage is working properly because it has never gone up (sits at the bottem and never moves) so I have no idea what the oil pressure is running at...
There is no reason you shouldn't be able to change your valve seals with the heads on the motor. I remember your previous post where you said the valve would open and break the seal when you tried to compress the spring. You have to give the spring retainer a good shot with a hammer to loosten it from the keepers before you try to compress the spring. Just be carefull not to hit the top of the valve stem.
