Matching Numbers Question

RE: Matching Numbers Question
After reading some prior posts it appears debate rages in some circles over the words "numbers matching" and what it means. The words "numbers matching" seem to be a hot button for some folks. So, let me clarify my intentions.
I bought this car as a light restoration project for myself and my two sons. It's a great hobby and a great Dad-and-sons activity. Whenever a part is missing, or needs replacement we prefer to restore an original, proper date coded part, rather than use known incorrect date codes or reproduction parts. For example, the car came with an aftermarket air cleaner. My sons and I hunted down an original April 65 date coded air cleaner and restored it. For us, part of the fun is locating and restoring correctly dated parts. I have no intention of representing the car as "100% original parts as delivered from the factory back in 65".
So, with that as background I'd like to know what the earliest reasonable casting dates for the block and heads so we can make/keep the car as original as possible.
Thanks
