My friend and I have been working on the car and we cant seem to get the steering column to come out(67 fastback). It shakes but still wont come out.

Thanks Glen....oh definetly a lot of work...this is only the beginning! Actually there is no motor in the engine compartment so it shouldnt be too much worse. We took the bolts off the frame and its shaking a lot but still not coming out.

 

You did unplug the harness, right? What about the gaskets on the inside of the engine compartment and in the interior? You did say column, not the shaft?
