SUM-K4400 Summit Cam and Lifter Kits
Cam and Lifters, Hydraulic Flat Tappet, Advertised Duration 262/ 272, Lift .448/ .472, Ford,Small Block/ 351W,...
Monday $79.95

Work pretty good, still have decent vacuum, idle ok with a bit of a chop, might get by with stock springs MIGHT, and it would have more power than the stock cam does. Ford was always conservative on cams.

Well something about that size would work..

I got a 73 mustang and it has a 351C and i just put a cam in it. The things to consider daily driver, but you still want that authority behind it!! so i got a cam from summit racing it has about an 8th inch lift. PLZ rem to break in the cam right so you dont mess the lifters or the lobes on the cam..its happened to me before.

Buy quality if you are even going to mess around with it.
Comp Cams 268H should do it for you. Get cam, lifters, springs while you are at it........
BTW, new timing set not a bad idea while you got the car apart....

You have a Performer 289 intake? I would match it to the Edelbrock Performer Plus cam kit - I did. Works well, idles nicely, runs plenty quick. And Do follow the break-in requirments no matter what you pick.
