Does anyone know some tricks to check for a vacuuum leak?

Use a large propane torch to find the leak or check for one. Just use the raw unburned propane gas with the engine in idling. Fog the gas around the suspected areas and if you hear a change in engine rpm that location has a vacuum leak.

I was going to say to use carb cleaner around the intake are but, Gun's idea is cleaner..

Yeah, the long time accepted way was to spray carb cleaner around the intake. Good info gun........

Make sure you have good plug wires that aren't arching[sm=badbadbad.gif]
