Isn't a T5 also the German version of the Mustang? I believe Ford couldn't use the Mustang label because of a trademark/copyright over there.

i think they still work but there is something weaker about them......
I know the input shaft bearing is smaller, but I never knew they were weaker because of it. Alot of guys like to use an adapter pilot bushing and use them on v8's because of the lower first gear.....

oh well maybe thats it, maybe they arent weaker, just something is smaller.

Look into the world class front shifter T5 (Tremec) tranny.
