289 rebuild
No matter what price you plan on getting by with, it always ends up being more. For one reason, they usually find more wrong inside than originally planned and you usually decide to do more things than you thought you wanted to do.

hmmm...most of the manual work for engine was/is done myself, but about 400 for new pistons and rings, cam, timing set, bearings, freeze plugs, lifters, and gaskets, then another ~250 for the re-boring,tanking, piston/rod steaking, and cam bearing replacement. So 650 for necessary parts replacement, and then another ~850 for parts that I'm putting in because I want to, intake manifold, 600cfm carb, HEI ignition, and roller rockers. So I'm expecting to pay about 1500 for all my parts once the engine is done.
