Default John's Mustang

I've noticed alot of talk about different places to buy from and I just wanted to add my .02 cents. I have purchased from many different suppliers and my #1 supplier is John's Mustang. I have always gotten the parts within 2 days of ordering them, and they always send me what I exactly what I ordered. I would have to say that my second favorite place is Laurel Mountain Mustang, I get there stuff within 4 days. The one place that I have had problems with is CJ Pony parts, I'm still waiting on parts that I ordered from them 2 weeks ago. They finally sent me a tracking number yesterday where they had just shipped it. I also wanted to add that I'm not affiliated with any supplier I just wanted to let everyone in on my experience.

I have dealt with about a dozen suppliers and you learn to weed out the good from the bad. For people just starting out in this hobby, it is helpful tp hear from others instead of finding out the hard way. I have had great experiences with NPD, Mustangs Plus, Virginia Classic Mustang, and Johns Mustang. Not so good with Mustangs Unlimited. For performance parts I have used Summit Racing, but they took two weeks to get me my headers and as of this writing, my order for Trick Flow Heads says pending but not shipped. I will give them another day, then cancel and go somewhere else. Another thing to think about, especially for big ticket items is to buy out of your state and save on sales tax. I used to use Mustangs Unlimited a lot, but if I can get the same item from NPD (takes a day longer) I order from them and saves the sales tax.

I've been relatively happy with John's Mustang parts, as I can pick up my items on my way home from work. Can order online and pickup next day. However, be sure you know what you want and order the right part. The counter people don't seem to have a lot of knowledge regarding the parts. Definitely not the place to chit-chat with staff about your mustang or ask questions (IMHO). John's Mustang usually has very competitive pricing. I will continue to buy thru them until I find a place I like better. Anyone familiar with other mustang parts stores in the Houston area?

I use NPD and Laurel Mountain Mustang and Mustangs Unlimited only because It takes just a day for me to receive my product. The people at Laurel Mountain are
more people friendly!

I just got my FIRST and LAST order from CJ Pony.. I ordered Try Y ceramic coated headers and they sent me black.. I Know that many have bad mouthed Mustang Unlimited however, I have ordered alot of parts from them and never had an issue. I'll never go with CJ again.
