Default tranny slippage

I got a problem in my 69, recently ive started to notice my tranny is slipping when changing gears at first i thought it was the tranny bands not grabbing so i adjusted it, retorque, but it still slips. 1-2 it usually shifts okay but slips some times 2-3 slips alot its revs really high when cruising or gas pedal to the floor, i was thinking it could be the servo is going out...its a 69 c-4 (3speed of course) i was thinkin of getting a high performance servo or should i just replace it? or should i just do a an overhaul on the tranny?

Default RE: tranny slippage

Just for grins, I would add a quart of Lucas transmission fix and run it for a few thou miles. If that doesn't work, then you have only lost a few bucks. That snake oil is supposed to clean and lubricate sticking valves. If that doesn't work, then it's overhaul time. Good luck with it.
