Elenor was a 67-8 not a 66. Just for the record. And I think the car is way overdone. To each his own.

all that pride put aside for a second i don;t think one person in here can say the 66 fastback, that was turned into the legendary gt500 on gone is 60 seconds, was not one of the most beautiful cars ever created in my mind cars do 2 things go fast and look good. Im not saying the style of an old school mustang is not extremely atractive im just saying u can turn it into another style that looks just as good and in some eyes even better.
Yeah, the Eleanor is definitely not a 66 but a bastardized 67-68. fugugly imo. Too bad a movie influenced so many unknowing and uneductated kids.

yea, it was a 67, it was wayyy overdone and since it came out, everyone wanted to suddenly go out and buy their own 67 fastback to make their own eleanor, and if and when they did, they would try to sell it on ebay, and most of the time it wont sell. well thats the case with this one guy we know, bought a 67 after seeing that movie, spent tons of money paying for it to be done, in the end realized it was not worth it, and he tried to sell it but what he wanted for it, no one would pay.

Yeah, thanks to that retarded movie it's almost impossible to find a fastback these days that hasn't already decomposed into dirt. I hope they'll just hurry up and move onto Supra's for good after the next horrible Fast and the Furious movie, and I can finally get my hands on a good restomod project.

ya srry it was a 67, and imo its not like ne1 has been chopping and sectioning the cars or nething all can be taken off, no different that putting 302 stroked out to 347 into the car or an un original t5. These car were built for the mass public and everyone loved them and on the other side everyone had them. for a lot of ppl tossing new rims on isn;t enough( theres a little 66 coupe with the same rims as me in my small town [:'(] ). These cars, even tho i love them, are not perfect hell they were built differently when shifts changed at the ford production plants and ,besides the ful on restos, we change them put digital distributor instead of the point or dual exhuast so why is the body off limits

i don;t mean to offend ppl, to each his own, its only the body the icon is still there

or hopefully some movie with a corvette as the eleanor type car will come out, then everyone will want their one corvette eleanor, and i can finally get a fastback without having to pay a ridiculous price just because the owner thinks its a "good candidate for a eleanor project"

what about putting a gt350 style front or shelby style tail lights? i agree that elenor was a little over the top but if i had one and was driving it around town i wouldnt be complaining. some body mods look pretty awsome in my opinion but you have to draw the line somewhere
