Question Early 1968 (Metuchen plant) engine bay colors

Hello,
I am getting ready to paint my engine bay area and wanted to verify the colors with somebody here who knows what color the various parts should be painted. I picked up some ford blue engine paint from Mustangs Unlimited for the engine.

I am planning on purchasing my other paint products from Eastwood as soon as I can figure out what colors I need.

1) Underhood semi-gloss black - fan - fan belt pully part and a/c hardware. I have also heard to use flat black.
2) Silver Cadmium - parts such as the hood latch, hood springs, and front fender bolts.
3) Was going to use the chassis black for the rear axel, brake drums and hardware and frame rails. The body and underside of my car has been primed and sealed.
I have attempted to find a listing of what part should be what color for a concourse correct car but have not had any luck locating this info. My goal is to get my car as close to concourse as possible but I will not enter that category due to some upgrades I intend to make with performance parts.

Can somebody here give me expert advice.

Semi. Cast iron parts were typically bare.

2) Silver Cadmium - parts such as the hood latch, hood springs, and front fender bolts.
Latch, springs, hinges oiled phosphate (parkerized) Fender bolts silver cad.

3) Was going to use the chassis black for the rear axel, brake drums and hardware and frame rails. The body and underside of my car has been primed and sealed.
Underbody was red or black primer, depending on when and where it was built. Drums were bare, except on cars with styled steel wheels, then the outer face only was chassis black.

Medium or light color cars had the pinchweld at the bottom of the rocker and quarter was blacked out with chassis black.

It is also possible to do stealth upgrades. Such things as lowering the upper control arms 1". I saw a 68 GT350 a couple years ago that was put together with 289HP exhaust manifolds, port-matched to the heads, and a C9OZ-C cam. Very stealth, unless you are very familiar with SB exhaust manifolds, and ran WAY better than stock.

Be careful with that "blue". Up through 64, Ford used "Ford blue", a bright blue on 260 V8 and some others:

Starting in 66, they used "Ford Corporate blue", a noticeably darker shade:

Yeah I repainted my air cleaner the "ford blue" on my 68 and it was much lighter then the original blue that was on it. I wasn't going for concourse though so it didn't bother me.

2+2 do you know the story on the air cleaner style used in the first picture? I have seen them on 260's and some 260's with the other style. Is there any rhyme or reason as to what Ford used them on?
