Back to the topic, I bought a cockpit cover from Moss for about
$39 just to keep out garage dust, bird crap, pollen dust. It takes two minutes maybe to put on or take off. Works good, but you need to put cloth around the door handle straps or they will scratch the paint in strong wind.
Oh yeah, going topless is better.

ORIGINAL: Dirty Work

Sorry, my statement was a little generalized

The samefreedom that lets us speak our minds also allows you guys to carry guns and shoot eachother. What are you protecting yourselves and your family from? Other people with pistols right?... it's just strange to me. That handgun only serves one purpose, to kill humans. You can call it protecting all you want, but it really is just a tool for killing humans.

Protect your family by moving to a better neighborhood, or moving to a country that doesn't carry guns in their gloveboxes. That's what I choose.

We should send all the handguns in the US over seas to help where theguns are actually needed.

EDIT: Let's not start an off topic flame war, I accept that we all have different views on life. No need to call eachother names. I will discuss further by PM if anyone wants to debate this topic. I apologize for my broad generalization
There are more crimes in Canada and England which are "hot burglaries" (which are when a person is at home when the person breaks in) were in the US only 13% of all burglaries are hot burglaries. This shows that criminals are afraid of citizens in the US because they could be armed. Mostarmed citizens that are going to get muged or burglarized just need to show the weapon and not fire it to deture the criminal. I would suggest reading a book called "More Guns Less Crime" by John R. Lott, Jr. it will change the way you look at gun control laws and the beauty of being able to carry a gun knowing that you are safe.

up over night and at work. down during a day where I am going to drive it a lot. I've parked at the local walmart a few times with it down.. kinda outta the way, and no probs. top is down at church, anda lot of other places I go to, cause I know who is in inside or I know the neighborhood.

I'm blessed to live in a small city near a larger city with very little crime. I end up calling the police occasionally because of those driving playing their woofers so loud they disturb the peace. I only hear about drive-by shootings on TV.

Still, for the previous discussions in this thread, I have this to say:
Gun Control means using both hands.

You know what? I think iwill read that book to get a perspective.ANYWAY..I put the top up only if I have stuff in the car when i go into a store, or If i know i am going to be in there a long time. The one place i ALWAYS put it up is atmovie theatres, theySUCK for crime. You can follow someone into a theatre, and you KNOW they are going to be in there for a couple of hours. I watched a security tape of a guy trying to break into a car in a movie lot, and 3 or 4 people offered to help, he said he just locked his keys in the car. He got in, climbed under the dash and stole the truck..

I will usually leave mine down and just make sure there is nothing of value in the car. My father always drove convertibles and never locked them. Once he parked under a street light and locked the car only to come back and find the top cut open.

I keep it down unless I am going to be 30 minutes or more. I am more worried about bird crap than crime. I also leave very little in the car.
I like that the newer models have the trunk release on the key fob. I am lucky to have a garage so I can leave the top down
when I park it there.
