Default RE: Do you park with the top down???

my first convertible was an 84 mustang had it three weeks went to work with it to pick up my check and leave was inside 5 minutes came back out and she was gone. needless to say i left the top down. so now i have a 90 "7up" convertible and itstop down if im in it only. and as for during the day with the top down forget it, she only comes out at night in perfect weather.

back to pistols in glove compartments i agree depending on where you live you need it and especially when people know you are in law enforcement/corrections. where i live everyone knows that my brother is a police officer and they hate him. the right to bare arms is a beautiful thing 'eh? thank god i live in america.

Lately since it's been 100 to 105 degreeswith 800% humidity I don't park with the top down anymore. I don't even drive with it downanymore until after dark when it's only in the 90's.

If I am going to be quick like under 5 min and its close to where I will be (the only time I try to park in the front) I will leave it down but I will put up both the windows and make sure I dont have anything sitting in the open.
I will also leave it down when I go home and put it in the driveway!

Other than that I always put it up, i mean it only takes what 12 sec!!!

It's always down in my garage, and on the way to work, but DOWN for play, UP for work. I get into my work mode in the parking lot as I raise the top, and play mode as I lower it. It's kind of a psychological separation for me. If I'm on a weekend trip, I leave it down all the time unless it rains. That top isn't going to give any security if you are thoughtless enough to leave valuables in view.

well so far it really depends on the area and of course line of site. We have left it down and went into a few resurants, but one of us could see it from the window, but we keep nothing in it and anything we have with us like cell phone etc... we lock in the trunk. so far one time we left it unattended with the top down for about 10 min and someone had put a tootsie roll paper in one of the holes where the top connects to the windshield... i wasnt happy and wont leave it unattended top down again
