Default Rear Passenger Window

I recently purchased a 2001 Mustang Convertable. The rear passenger side window did not work when I bought it. I replaced the window motor and it still does not work. My next step is to replace the switch. Has anyone else had their window quit working abruptly and found out why? This Mustang only has 30K on it and it seems odd that the window has stopped working. The previous owner said that he had no clue that it wasn't working and that it must have just stopped recently. (Almost believable)Any ideas?

A couple times now I've tried lowering my driver side passenger window, and it wouldn't go down!!>! I'd wiggle the switch but no help. after a while I'd give up on it.

The next day I'd try it & it works fine lol no problem at all. It will work for months without problem. Then sooner or later it'd quit again. The problem must be a short, but I haven't figured out where that short might be..

I had this happened when I was about to buy my car. The passanger side window did not go down during the test drive. Told him I would buy the car once it was fixed. Came back the next day and it worked (without them fixing it) and has worked since, for over a year. Strange... Mines a 99 btw.

The motorgoing out is pretty un-common, but switches go out all the time.

Funny this is posted, my 2000 gt rear passenger window also stopped working. i was pretty pissed cause i had to drive around with just that one up and everything else down. But like everyone else said, it started working again. One day it wouldnt drop, and in a few hours it worked fine. No clue, but my bet is the motor....cause i could still hear the switch tripping like it was trying to put the window down.

Same applies to a lot of SUVs and cars these days. I'd begin at the switch as well.
