Default Top goes up/down but -------

My 92 top will go up and down but will not hold itself in a partially open position. Gravity takes over and it drops on its own. Does this indicate some leaky valves in the hydraulic system? If so, where are the valves? Would this problem require thepump/motor or actuators to be replaced?

I beileve its normal operation....the pump creates pressure for the fluid.....no pump, no pressure

I don't know about on a 92, but on my 01 it stays where I put it, so i'd think that if it sinks on it's own, you have a leaky hydrolic valve or something. Where it would be and how to fix it, I haven't got a clue.

Yeah, they seem to do that. Should go down pretty slowly.
