Default Bubble top?

Maybe there have been posts about this before, but I was told recently that I have the "bubble top" curse now. I was told awhile ago but dismissed it as my windows being down when I used to smoke in my car.
Now I was told that it bubbles up. My top is in great condition and in no need to be replaced anytime soon.
Is there anything I can do to secure the top back down so it doesn't do it??

Please, any ideas would be appreciated.

Thank you,
Phil

in the top, there are the ribs you see from outside (the frame). well built into the front one theres a bar that unscrews and goes through a flap in the top fabric. it's a pain to get back in there and fix it unless your just doing a new top
i Just did my top this past sunday, not my favorite thing haha

Wanna help and get some free beer?

I think redpony is trying to tell you about what we call "hold down strips". Your 01 Vert has strips which were glued originally to the bottom of the conv. top and attached to the convertible frame bars that go from side to side. These strips (when attached) stop the "bubble top" phenomenon. Yours have come unglued and need to be reattached to the bottom of the convertible top vinyl. Good luck!
