Default Vinyl vs Cloth top -- need help

My girlfriend wants to get a V6 Convertible. I see they come in vinyl and cloth. Her car will be out in the elements in south florida. Is there an upside or downside to either one? Thanks

vinyl is much easier to care for and much better in a rainy climate like FL. if it were just a sunny day driver then i would say to go with cloth because they look better, but they are harder to take care of and stain easier.

florida is very sunny like her in cali and I know here the sun constantly beating down on the vinyl fades the color where as the cloth seem to resist the fading alot better.

I think the vinyl is easier to take care of. Whichever you get make sure you use a good protectant on it like Raggtopp or 303.

Just MHO, but cloth looks nicer than vinyl. OTOH, vinyl may be easier to care for. In either case, regular treatment with RaggTop should help prevent fading/sun damage.
