Default Soft top TSB

Hey fella's
Ive got a 06 GT Vert, Ive seen a technical service bullitin (TSB) for the cables that run through the soft top being faulty.
They recommend the cables are replaced with new teflon lined ones that dont sieze. does anyone know the best place to get these from, and please bear in mind im in the UK, so someone who is happy to ship to the UK?

Many Thanks

Paul

I'm sure it's not the only (and maybe not the best) place to order and ship to the UK, but they will ship to you.

8R3Z-7652806-A Right Cable

I will say that I had this performed for me before my warranty expired last Spring. It was a hassle having it in and out of the dealership, but the end result is that the top is so much quieter now. Make a huge difference on the rattle issue I was experiencing. Hard to tell it's a vert when the top is up now.

If you're having the rattle, I'd recommend the cable swap. Have someone experienced with tops do the swap though, as the trim shop my dealer used had to readjust the top a couple of times before they got everything back right again. When you get it back, check for areas around the back window that are too loose or too tight after you operate the top a few times. Getting the top lined back up is an art form many places simply don't understand.

Cheers for the tips Misbehavin! Ill give that site a look up and see what they can do.
Unfortunately in the UK Ford dont honour any warranties, so it doesnt matter if you buy the car brand new from a dealer in the states, as soon as it touches down in the UK, end of warranty.

That sucks. Hope you get it sorted out though.

Ive tried to order the replacement soft top cables direct from the Ford USA website, but it wont let me put in a UK address for shipping, does anyone know a real friendly Ford dealer in the US that would ship them to the UK for me? a phone number or email address would be great!

Here is where I got my Mustang. I know there are a number of Brits here in season, so maybe they might ship over there. Maybe worth a try anyway?
