Default Time for a new top - DYI ?

I have a 2001 vert that is ready for a new top. Multiple areas of cracking in the vinyl and the classic two holes in the rear are leaking again.

I have read that it is a tough job, but can be done. Is there a guide on line that discribes the job? Any Special tools, skills required?

What is the best top to buy so I never have to do this again?

Thanks

it can be done by yourself, but as you heard its not easy. i saw a dvd guide on a website when i was buying my top (i think it was mustangsunlimited.com) and i have always heard great things about haartz tops. that is what i put on mine and after about 4 years and lots of sun exposure, i have very little wear and no fading. and as far as special tools, its pretty much lots and lots of staples, so have a heavy duty staplegun handy with a couple cases of staples.
