Default top not dropping

The pump works just fine but one of the hoses is broken completely in half. Actually looks like it was cut. I wanted to try and put a compression fitting on the hose but 1/4 is to small, it measures .029 which puts it at 7mm. Think they're only made in 6 and 8mm. I will probably have to bite the bullit and replace the parts. Anyone have any good sources for buying convertable parts like this, or even better a 7mm compression fitting? Thanks!

Dave, your hydraulic hoses are brittle now that they are older. That's why they look like someone cut them.

Save yourself some sanity and replace the part. Convertible Top Specialists in Floral City Florida sells them in a pair(hoses for both sides of the top cylinder) they are aftermarket of course, but you need to start fresh.

If you somehow find a compression fitting the correct size, it will likely break again as soon as something bumps it or maybe even while you are trying to install the fitting.

Been there, done that.

Thanks, looked them up, looks like a hundred bucks. I was kind of worried about the hoses being brittle and just breaking again.
