Default SmartTOP for the Mustang

Does anyone know if they make a SmartTOP module for the 2014 Mustang?

I have heard mention of it but haven't been able to find it. Granted my seach-fu isn't the strongest around so its possible i missed it.

Any info would be appreciated!

Thanks!!

That is what I ran into. I'll contact them and post what I find to this thread.

I heard back from the company, they don't support Mustang at this time.

Bummer.

Not sure I would want to try to put a soft top up/down while moving. If one really wants to raise/lower it while moving, simply wire around the speed sensor. Of course, that sets the course for a twisted top frame.

The idea of dropping it from a distance is nice.

That is exactly what I was thinking, especially using the stock remote.

Guys,

I heard back from Sven at mods4cars.com. He is asking if anyone is out near their lab in Vegas so they can do a bit of research on this project. Looks like we might get the option after all!

If anyone is in the Las Vegas area and willing to let them play around with your car, please let me know and i'll get you Sven's contact info.

Thanks!

I would think that:

1. Closing the top/opening the top while in motion would cause the wind to damage it.

2. The lock down levers at the front would not allow remote operation unless you left them unlocked. That on my vert leaves a tiny gap that if raining would let water in and if sunny would look goofy.

I'm not trying to sideline innovation here, but watching the video I just see a few issues.

I agree, they're going to have to figure something out on the levers. I can do without operation while going down the road, I'm much more interested in the remote operation. If they do it right it could be a nice convenience on the car.
