Default Hood scoop

Got a question.... as you can see by my avatar I have the non-scooped hood... and I'd like to have a scoop but I'm not going to pay $150 for a ford one...

Question: What other scoop can be placed in the same area covering the same sides and back?

I don't care about the mesh part in the front. I just want a scoop.

I have been looking at replacing the floppy plastic waffle piece of crap with a real metal grille, like perforated sheet metal. If painted black underneath, it actually looks functional. Hell, with a sawzall, it can be functional.

Still working on a final design...if I come up with something, I will post a photo.

Look ma...no scoops.

This is something to consider, too. I fashioned a piece, it looks OK but needs better paint match. I dumped the fake side scoops for bullitt inserts last year.
