I have seen that I can get the Gt style hood scoop and add it to my stock V6 hood to give it that bigger scoop look. Has anyone done this? Can you give me a rough Idea on cost? And where is the cheapest place to get the scoop and hardware to mount it?

Also opinion wise, Do I paint it to match, or paint it black and get a mach 1 hood vinyl put on the recessed part of the hood and make it more or less like a "mach" mach 1. I have a 2002 Coupe that is a sandstone colour, sorry I dont know the real colour name, its almost gun metal but it has a brown tint to it and then I have the Mustang Vinyls down the bottom of the doors that is in black. I plan to get the bumper inserts in black to match the side.

 

I put a GT scoop on my car, of course my car IS a GT (in 1999 only the special edition came with this scoop). I found the scoop on ebay for like maybe 50-75 and then had my brother-in-law paint it for me (he's been a paint/body man his whole life), otherwise I would think you could get it painted and installed for another $200 or so (just a guess).
