getting top installed... NEED HELP!!
i orderd a convertible top and window i need to get it installed i went to a place called rayco and they want $600.00 to do it i was trying to see if anyone knew were to get the top put on for a lower price i live in Wilmington, DE if anyone could help me that would be nice. thanx for your help!!
Just had mine done about 2 months ago. It cost 750 here in Florida....about the lowest i found and it was a very professional job. (Dont forget that sometimes you get what you pay for) However that was for the top plus installation.
I just got my top replaced and paid around $950. $350 was for labor and this place was supposed to be the best in town. If I were you, check the local auto clubs and see who they recommend.
If you get a new Top. Get the Glass rear window, and replace the shocks and linkage,
if your top binds up after a few months of spending $600 for labor, you can throw that
out the window cause it'll cost you that again to replace those worn down parts.
They will probably tell you that your linkage is adjustable..yeah..yeah.. still gets stretched and can break
the shocks can cause motor failure and making your nice motorized top into a ghetto top that
won't retract all the way even when you sit on it.
Spend the $600 in labor plus another $300 for the other parts, you'll never worry bout it again!
