Default Leather cracking?

I have a question about my leather steering wheel...

My Mustang's interior is in relatively great shape, except for the steering wheel. The leather is cracking all over the place, and I currently have a steering wheel cover on it. The leather is red, and it is absolutely beautiful, so I hate hiding the steering wheel, but it looks awful! Is there any way I can repair it? The car is garage kept, and when it is out in the sun, I put a windshield deflector in to keep the sun out. The damage to the steering wheel was already there when I bought it.

I don't know how much it will cost but I saw this place on the internet.
They repair them.

That's a good link, but they are dealing with more than fixing it. They actualy replace the leather and soe it back on. There are interior companies out there (like mine) that go in and fix the cracks and redye it, on-site and color match the dye. Obviously doing it the first way will cost you a lot more money as opposed to actualy fixing it.
This is a link to the company I work for.. check it out http://creativecolorsintl.com/ There are franchises all over.

If you pay attention to the directions, and stitch tightly, you can put on a Wheelskins cover and they look very nice. I have used several and most dont even know its not factory. I usually buy a two tone with perforated on the top and bottom. Takes me about 1.5 hours to stitch it over, but I like to do it right!
