Default water stain removal

I have a brand new 04 GT and this afternoon I noticed a water stain trail from the hood scoop to the grill. I normally use meguiers detailer but it wont remove the stain. Any non abrasive stuff you guess recommend to get rid of this stain. Also do the cars come from the factory waxed? How long should I wait to wax or should I wax it right away?

Tks in advance
Mike

They usually wax it at the dealership before delivery but they don't use anything good.

Wash our car with liquid dawn dishwashing liquid, NOTHING ELSE! This will safely remove all bugs, tar, and any wax on the car. Then go over it with 100% cotton bath towels to dry. After that wax your car with your favorite stuff. I personally use Zaino. There is nothing like it!

You are having the same problem I am. I currently posted something on this. I hate the honeycomb scoop insert and am looking for replacements. Any ideas?

When a car comes from the dealership it usually does not need a wax until about 6 to 7 months.. the Clear coat is still new.....
Try using a Turtle wax if Maguires isnt working...... Too much waxing is bad on the clear coat

3M makes a "Perfect-It foam pad polish". it is actually intended for use with a buffer, but you can use it by hand to rub out small items. It can be purchased at most retailers, AutoZONE, O'Reilly's and what not. It'll run you about $12 for a pint, but this is killer stuff. I personally used it for years in the body shop. Highly reccomended.

Wax will not remove it, because wax has zero cutting ability. This polish is like and extremely fine compound.

As for wax, 3M makes a product called hand glaze. They actually make 2 different ones, a black bottle and a white bottle. The white is easier to use, but wears off far faster than the black bottle. General rule of thumb is, the easier it is to buff of, the quicker the wax will deteriorate.
