Default spider crack repair...

Word to the wise: don't try to drift until AFTER you have turned the traction control off... that said the pics should be self-explainitary. On the upper (horizontaly) flat part of the bumper there is a "spider crack" no bigger that the size of a dollar coin. The crack is flat except for one part where it is raised slightly. The question is if I can sand down the bump and use the scratch/chip repair paint to fill in the small cracks (only the paint itself, not the plastic, is cracked. I'm thinking that I can layer on some repair paint on the bottom of the bumper? I know you're not supposed to use it for larger areas but as it is down low I just need it to be yellow, it doesn't have to be perfect.

The spider crack is a little to the right of my shadow... hard to see in the pic.

I just threw some touch-up Paint on the bottom to cover-up the black parts. And I wasn't trying to re-enact some high speed drifting, I was doing under 40km/h with no one in front of me, just gonna swing the back-end out a little bit like I've done a million times before, just so happened I forgot to turn the traction control this time.... first and last time I'll forget that. Tried to look cool, ended up looking like a f***ing idiot. Anywayze, I'll do my best on the bottom in the next couple of days. The "spider" cracks aren't too visible and I just saw a couple more on the front of the bumper that you won't see unless you're practically kissing the bumper. Bodyshops are pretty much out of the question up here as there is about a 4 month wait to get in unless you can't drive the car... then you're lucky to get in within a month.

do u have insurance? get an estimate for it and if its over $500 pay the deductable and tell ur insurance company someone backed into you

either way it looks like it will need to be sanded and re-painted

obviously wont match perfectly but what else can ya do?

btw thats definitely not a spider crack thats a bad scuff

so what did u hit exactly?

It was a small island. No one was coming the other way so I hit it on an angle to try and just pop over it rather than side-swiping it and ****ing up both rims and tires. Guess the GT bumper is a little too low. Insurance is out of the question, if it costs less than 2k to fix then theres no point in claiming insurance. Besides the scuff being so low on the car it would have to have been an elf-car to do that. BTW I was calling the little crack on the top of the bumper that you can hardly see in the first pic a spider crack. The scuff I can do myself as it is so low on the car and the cracks are barely visible so I'll look around a little more to find the best method to repair it myself when I get some time.

Tire will wear less when it's wet but it's not half as fun. I wouldn't do any drifting on the streets when its wet though, way less control. I haven't even seen FF3 yet, is it any good?

anyone who wants to drift on wet roads is an idiot

the intro to FF3 was good.. rest of the movie sucked IMO

big block monte carlo vs the beastly SRT-10 viper

"some" cool car scenes but like the other F&F movies, waaay over exaggerated and dramatized
