Dent remover?
I have seen alot of paintless dent repair ads, I had to pay for one when I hit a golf ball into the side of a brand new suburban. It cost about a 100 bucks, I still cant figure out why he parked so close to the number 1 tee box!
$100 bucks sounds a little high for paintless dent removal. The way I understand it, is that they charge based on the size of the dent. But I figure $35 to $75 per dent depending on size. If they are all in one panel, it could even be cheaper. I have seen the do it yourself kits, but i haven't tried them. If anyone has, I'd like to hear how they work.
If you mean the Pops-a-dent thin then it doesnt work. The guy that took the one out of our door siad all that does is pull the metal back to were it can be worked. He said it actually makes the dent worse then it was to begin with. We had him take out a bunch of little dings and he charged us $85.
As your local dealer who they go to for paintless dent repairs. A couple of years ago, I was 24hrs away from picking up a brand new pick-up truck. That same night we (I was stationed in Alabama) had a hail storm and the dealer called me right up to let me know that my new truck looked like a golf bal with more than 100 dents/dings all over the place. I wnt over to take a look and sure enough..it looked like hell. The dealer told me not to worry that their local dent repair guy would fix it right up. Two days later, I went to pick up my truck and I could not tell the difference. Soooo, check with your local dealer and ask who they use....
