I have an 04 darkshadow grey and i was wondering if i where to remove the stripe that runs along the bottom of the car (rocker stripe or whatever its called) do you think the sun has faded the color of my car that it would be really recognizable?!?!!?! i wax and wash the car religiously... but it isnt garage kept and does sit in the sun almost all dayuntill the sun sets over the house. Anyone know if it would be noticable if i took it off?

 

I think you will be fine. Mine is a '99 and I took off the dealership decal on the deck lid this past year and there was no fading. The pain would have to be super ****ty if it faded after 2 years. I say go for it!

 

If there was some fading, all you would have to do is polish the car. It would make everything even again.

 

alright awesome i think im gonna take the stripe off cause i dont like the look of it. I just hope i dont have "mustang" faded into my car...

 

Just use a hair dryer or a heat gun to warm it up, it will make it a little easier, and get a bottle of Goo Gone you will need it.

 

what should i peel it off with, my fingernails?!?!?! think a credit card would work?
