Try using a buffer with a cleaner wax. That should work but it will be a PITA to remove those spots. As for the rims, try the cleaner wax as well. That should work but your gonna have to rub like crazy to get those spots off. If you have it on your windows, use very fine steel wool. I`ve been in the same situation myself and this all worked for me but it took alot of time. Good luck.

Try a polish on the spots followed by a wax. For the wheels get some mother's wheel polish. OUr car has chrome rims and it gets water spots on them from where I wash it and when I put one some mother's chrome wheel polish it makes them disappear and gives them a good shine.

i live in vegas and you will actually get a mouthful of pebbles when you drink a glass of water, it is so hard. I had a black Ram that used to get coated with the white hard water spots and the detail guy claimed that he would use acid to get them off if they were bad enough, which he did on mine a couple of times, then waxed it, then it was nice, til the next time [:@]

I vote for the Meguiars cleaner wax as well. Get an absorber from the autoparts store to dry your car immediately after you wash it and you shoudn't have a problem with spots.
