Default removing the crap buildup on...

I have a quick couple of questions regarding the spotless cleaning of my mustang. I have to large build up's of crap that doesnt want to come off no matter how hard I scrub it.

First is on the front bumper. It looks like bugs have taken their toll and the front of my car needs some serious cleansing. The next, which is worse, is built up behind my back two tires. I used to have mudflaps when i bought it and those prevented this but they looked too gay and had to go. But now there is a serious build up of crap that will come off some if i lightly scratch at it (and only the dirt ****, not my paint obviously), but nothing to make it spotless. Like if you look close enough it doesnt look good and needs fixing.

So I want to eventually clay bar/wax/polish my car but want to get this **** off first. Should I just try bug and tar remover or is there something better to get this **** off?

Also one more. I heard not to use windex on ur car windows because it contains ammonia. Has anyone ever successfully done it with windex? What is the disadvantage of using it w/ ammonia compared to proper glass cleaners for cars?

I would use some bug remover for you front bumper. I carry this stuff called Bug Squash by Poorboys that works awesome for bugs. You spray it on, let it sit for a second, then wipe right off. I also carry Tarminator by Stoner. It works really well with bugs, tar, sap, etc. If everything doesn't come off on your front bumper after that try a claybar. I would use the claybar on the whole car. You won't believe the difference it will make.

I don't use windex on the windows. I use Invisible Glass. It is completely safe and can even be used on tinted glass. It does not streak either. Invisible Glass is very popular and is made by Stoner. Check out my website at www.obsessivedetail.com I carry everything you will need to do a complete detail. Let me know if you have anymore questions I can answer.
