Default Help with touch-up paint pen

Bought the Ford touch-up paint. Comes with the brush and the pen in the cap. Can't seem to get the pen to work. Any tricks to this?

Take the brush out. You will see an orange sleeve at the top of the bottle. Take that out and the pen will work.

This advice is right on. I've used this method a lot. It is best to layer it and put on a little each application.

Sprostang: Thanks for the advice. Never would have thought to do that.
Once I take the orange sleeve out, should I leave it out?

Depending on the success you have with the touchup, and its location, consider using Langka to smoothen the "blob" -- www.langka.com

Just remember to apply the touch up paint on very thin. Just then enough to cover up the scrath...etc. The last thing you want is a big blob that can't be smoothed down. I'm not sure if there are ways to succesfully smooth it down...but applying just enough worked for me. Also, remember to let it dry for several hours.

I have some stuff I bought at the Toyota dealer when I had my Camry that softens the blob then with the plastic razor blade you scrape it off. It worked great. Thanks for the advice.
