How much should I expect to pay for a high quality paint job for a 96 GT?

To paint the entire car.

 

i jsut payed 5500 for paint on my 94 it had about 1200 with of damage from my roomate packing into it tho. so i would say about 3-4 depending on the shop and type of paint job

 

$5500????? I'm too cheap for that. You know what kind of mods you could buy with that? I've always been able to do mine for <$1000. I've always done all the prep work myself. The better it is prepped the better the finish.

 

Yeah, I think around $3 000-ish is typical for a whole-car paint job, though it'll vary if your car needs any body work done as well (if there are any rust spots that need patching up or anything like that.)

You can roll by any body shop or whatever though and get them to quote you on it, no problem.

 

5000 is a lot for just a paint job

im goin to use this guy's thread hahahaha. i was thinkin of getting my 94 done. its red right now. and is all scratched up(from previous owner) and has a few minor dents that i could probably depop with a plunger. lmao. no but really. i was wondering how much it might cost me to get rid of the scratches and then touched up and then a price on how much scratches plus paint job. also. im worried about how long a paintjob usually lasts. because ive been told not to paint it if you dont HAVE to because it will peel. only factory paint jobs last. im wondering y this is.
