rim painting
Sometimes "no feedback" after an hour means something... other than "patience is a virtue."
Low-gloss might be ok... a flat finish may be hard to keep clean.
There are wheel-specific coatings available at the auto parts stores, and it might be best to stick with what's offered/recommended for wheels (meaning, likely not a flat finish).
Personally, on that color car, I'd probably go with custom chrome wheels or polished billets.
If that's not an option, and you feel the need for a change, I'd probably go with a brighter silver wheel coating.
Or, just polish up what you have if it's looking dingy.
If you do paint, prep will likely be key.
