Would you remove it just by pulling it off or is there a specific way in doing it? Does anyone know the tint laws in NY. I keep getting tickets

 

I took my tint off a few months ago. I used a razor blade and Johnson& Johnson baby shampoo mixed with water in a spray bottle. I'd start a strip and pull it off. The thing is the glue residue is left behind and its really stuck on there. I would mist the window and start scraping the glue off with the razor blade. Repeat this process till all the glue is gone off the window. Be sure to keep spraying the window while scraping off that glue. I've only done it once. Be careful. Hope this helps.

 

I used windex and a plastic putty knife. Be careful with the razor blades you can scratch the glass.

 

I am having my tint re-done on Friday since the previous owner tinted it too light, I always do 5%. They are charging me $175 to remove and re-tint the car. Thats only $50 more than just tinting, and well worth it to not have to deal with it.

 

wax and grease remover will take off that glue residue.
