Bra's are always a bad idea. People put them on to protect the paint from chips. What they don't realize is that the bra itself will damage the paint. The paint didn't actually fade ( it would go the other way, paint un-covered will be lighter than the covered paint) the clear coat was damaged by the bra fluttering from the wind. It usually buffs out, but may leave a mark where the exposed paint meet the bra.

If you chose to put it back on, put a nice thick layer of wax and don't buff it off. This will help give a little layer of protection between washings.

thx SilverGT, I really hope it does buff out... bc i really really dont want to have to get it repainted, and as far as the bra, i would burn it before putting it back on haha. definitly depressing to see my car how it is tho!

we had that same thing happen to our fox body mustang. It was black and it had some front end damage so joe bought a bra to cover it up (we was broke as he!! back then) Well when we took it off, the car was so faded compared to the part that was covered by the bra. It looked horriable. Sorry you are having problems with it.

Bra's are the worst idea possible. I know of people who lined theirs with a thin layer of foam and that solved all the problems.
